To record karaoke on iPhone in Karaoke Maker, first make the karaoke from a song on the phone. Then start a take while the karaoke audio plays, stop when you are done, trim, and balance karaoke against your voice. Sing-along is a Pro feature in the current app.

## What you are recording

This is not a social karaoke live stream. It is a take on this device: karaoke on one lane, your microphone on the other. After you stop, you get a mix you can preview, trim, and save to the library or export to Files.

## Step-by-step

1. Convert a song so you have karaoke audio.
2. Choose Sing with this karaoke. Allow the microphone if iPhone Settings asks.
3. Start recording. The karaoke plays while the app listens to your voice.
4. Stop recording when the take is done.
5. Preview the mix. Trim if you only need part of the song.
6. Set the karaoke and voice balance, then save to the library, export, or record again.

## Useful tips

- Close other audio apps if the mic will not start.
- Keep the phone a consistent distance from your mouth. The waveform is drawn as you sing.
- If you leave before saving, the take can be discarded. Save when you want to keep it.
